From a Loft Above Smith Street to Collingwood’s Favourite Lounge
PocketQuestWorld grew from a handful of hand-built arcade cabinets into a 40-seat gaming home for Melbourne’s players. Here’s how the quest unfolded.
- 2016
The First Cabinet
Two friends restored a 1987 arcade board in a loft above Smith Street and invited the neighbourhood over for Friday night high-score battles.
- 2018
Doors Open on Peel Street
We moved into our 102 Peel Street warehouse, added eight console pods and a dedicated fighting-game bar, and served our first waffles-and-milkshake game night.
- 2021
The Esports Loft
A mezzanine of twelve 240Hz PCs went live, and our Tuesday Valorant ladder and Sunday Rocket League scrims became a fixture of the Collingwood scene.

40 Seats & Counting
With retro pinball, VR bays and a coffee-and-toastie kitchen, PocketQuestWorld now hosts over 900 players a week — from first-timers to ranked competitors.
